Terms and Conditions
We are focused on delivering a safe and quality service for all our customers. This requires us to minimise the dangers to ourselves, our clients and any other road users. As a result we have some conditions of hire that must be followed.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED & RESTRICTED*:
- BRICKS *
- DIRT *
- CONCRETE *
- ASBESTOS
- CHEMICAL OR LIQUID WASTE
- MOTOR OR HYDRAULIC OILS
- TYRES
- PAINT
- FOOD
- NAPPIES
- ANIMAL DROPPINGS
(*) indicates restricted items, please speak to our staff before placing any of these items in the bin.
Additional Charges will apply if:
The Skip Bin is overfilled ( ie. Items must NOT hang over the sides of the bin.) Collection will be refused until waste volume is reduced for safe road transport.
The Skip Bin is damaged whilst on hire.
Mattresses are placed in the bin. The removal of these can be organised prior to bin delivery, and if we are notified about them (& payment made) they do not have to take up any room within the bin.
CONDITIONS OF HIRE AND USAGE OF BINS
The Customer / Hirer hereby agrees:
To pay any extra costs caused to Southern Skips Victoria, as a result of overloading or incorrect loading of the Skip Bin by the customer / hirer, his agent or other person(s) whilst the bin is at the customer / hires premises or under control of the customer / hirer.
The placement, filling and pick-up of Skip Bins are under direct orders and control of the customer / hirer and the customer / hirer indemnifies Southern Skips Victoria against any loss, damage or injury as a result of the function performed.
To pay Southern Skips Victoria for any damages caused to any equipment including Skip Bins, whilst at the customer / hirers premises or under the control of the customer / hirer, at the rates invoiced by Southern Skips Victoria.
Southern Skips Victoria will not accept any responsibility for any injury to person or persons or damage to property belonging to the customer / hirer or any other person arising out of the use of the service: however such injury or damage was caused.
To pay Southern Skips Victoria at the rates invoiced by Southern Skips Victoria for any extra costs incurred as a result of Southern Skips Victoria or the customer / hirer being ordered to remove the Skip Bin by statutory or other authority.
To ensure that any Skip Bin left unattended in a public place, is adequately covered to avoid materials being dislodged, removed or blown out of the Skip Bin and will indemnify Southern Skips Victoria against any legal actions, damages or costs which may occur or be granted against Southern Skips Victoria.
To indemnify Southern Skips Victoria against any liability for damages caused to any driveway, pavement, path, kerbing or other surfaces as a result of the function performed.
Advise Southern Skips Victoria of the existence of any pipe, pit, cover or underground services, which may be damaged whilst performing the function and to indemnify Southern Skips Victoria against any damages to same during such performance, whether or not such advice was given to Southern Skips Victoria.
The placement of the Skip Bin to the customer / hirers verbal or written instructions at the time of placement or his or her order, will constitute the customer / hirer acceptance of these conditions should the customer / hirer be absent from the premises at the time of delivery of the Skip Bin.
