Why Use A Skip Bin over A Skip Bag

Why Use A Skip Bin over A Skip Bag

Tue, 13th Apr 2021

WEIGHT IS NOT AN PROBLEM.

Skip bins can easily take the weight of heavy items such as dirt, bricks, or concrete. Skip bags usually have a weight limit of approximately 600kg, while our skip bins can take in excess of one tonne at no extra charge.

You can fill any of our skip bins from 2m³ - 6m³ with dirt and we can lift it and take it away. You can’t do that with a skip bag.

BINS ARE CHEAPER.

When all the costs are finalised, skip bags are governed by weight. If you fill them with heavy items you are charged extra.

6 DIFFERENT SIZES TO CHOOSE FROM

Skip bags come in 1 or 2 sizes where we have 6 sizes in our current skip bin range. They are 2m³, 3m³, 4m³, 6m³, 8m³ & 10m³.

CHANGEOVER SKIPS DONE AT THE SAME TIME

If you find you have more materials to get rid of than you first thought, simply order a changeover and we will bring an empty bin when we pick up the full one. Although some skip bag companies say we cannot deliver an empty bin until the following day, in most cases we are able to do it all at the same time! Our drivers are very experienced and are able to changeover bins easily and expertly.

BINS ARE BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Unlike skip bags, which have a significantly shorter life cycle, skip bins can be used 1,000s of times. Our bins have been used and reused for many years and will continue to be in good condition for decades to come. Skip bags, however, will need to be added to landfill once they are no longer sturdy enough for use.

BINS ARE BETTER

You won’t hear it from them but even some skip bag companies are now hiring out skip bins! After advertising that a bag is better than a bin, they too have seen the light and are now hiring skip bins.
