Getting the most out of your skip bin can sometimes be tricky, especially for first timers. Below are some tips that can help you achieve the most from your bin. There are also some tricks that will help us reduce what enters landfill and maximise recyclable materials.

-Placing large items in first is an easy way to make the most of your space. You can then place the smaller items in and around these large items to save space.

-Flattening all cardboard boxes and laying them along one of the surfaces of the skip bin (either on the floor or wall) uses minimal space for a sometimes bulky addition.

-Cutting greenwaste into smaller sections allows for less emtpy space to be left within the skip bin.

-If you're worried about any damage that our skips might cause to your property, simply ask our friendly staff to place timbers down before we place the skip bin. This will protect your driveway or lawns.

-If you think you may need the skip bin for longer than the regular 4 day hire period, when making your enquirey mention this to our staff and we will do our best to accomodate your needs.

-When filling the skip bin with a mixture of items, keep your greenwaste seperate until you are ready for it to go in the bin. Divide the contents with an old blanket or tarp to keep the greenwaste at the top of your skip. This stops other rubbish falling into the greenwaste and helps us minimise what ends up in landfill. As greenwaste transfer stations will not take any compramised greenwaste and the landfills do not take rubbish that contains greenwaste, by seperating them we are able to help our environment.

-Mattresses can be a pain to get rid of, so rather than having them take up unnessary room within the skip bin we can stack them straight onto our trucks for an additional cost. Speak to our office staff about getting this organised.
